Synopsis

A young man awakens on a Sunday morning to discover that his family has turned into zombies. In a panic, he and a friend seek refuge in the one place they believe they will be safe: the town's Catholic church. There they discover the truth about what they have encountered.

About The Writer

Bob Rice is an internationally known speaker, singer/songwriter, and worship leader who has released ten CDs, and plays to over ten thousand people each year. Bob has written everything from scripts to blogs to his new novel, Between the Savior and the Sea. He teaches catechetics at Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH where he lives with his wife, Jennifer, and six beautiful children.

Steven Sledzinski

Played the role of Kevin

Steven has donned several theatre roles including Edna in Hairspray, Beast in Beauty and the Beast, and Mark in Rent. He is a workshop instructor for Rising Star Theaterworks, and is currently pursuing his degree in Advertisement and Art at Columbia College.

Matt Socha

Played the role of Mike

Matt recently graduated from The University of Michigan where he received his BFA in Theatre Performance. Matt has enjoyed lead roles in Pentecost, Suddenly Last Summer, and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged). Matt utilizes his SAFD certification to lead stage combat workshops for kids.

Dennis Edwards

Played the role of the Father

Dennis has enjoyed roles in Steel Beam Theatre's Rabbit Hole, Doubt, Proof, and Tuesdays with Morrie. Dennis has been in several Outside da Box and Spirit Juice Studios films.

Lori Holm

Played the role of the Mother

Lori has been acting in the Chicagoland area for over ten years. Lori also writes, directs, and works as an acting instructor for Steel Beam Theatre, and is a founder and manager of Troupe Strozzi.

Jim Poole

Played the role of the Priest

Jim is privileged to have worked with Steep Theatre, Strawdog Theatre, Victory Gardens, Theatre Wit, Steel Beam Theatre, iO, and the Annoyance Theatre. He has done several independent films, and is an accomplished voice over actor. Previously, Jim served and ministered as Creative Director of Park Community Church in Chicago for 15 years.

Beth Mehl

Played the role of the Sister

Despite being the youngest member of this cast, Beth has enjoyed several awesome roles including Caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland, Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh, and Karen Cooper in Night of the Living Dead. Beth has studied improv at Steel Beam Theatre in St. Charles.

Eric is the President and Executive Producer of Outside da Box and Big Grin Studios. Since 2002, he has produced almost two hundred faith-based short films for churches, schools, and other not-for-profit organizations. He is the father of eight children and has been married to his wife, Becky, for 21 years

Rob Kaczmark

Rob Kaczmark

Partner and production manager of Spirit Juice Studios, Rob has been involved with the Catholic ministry for over 10 years, while simultaneously working in the secular film and music scene. In 2005, Rob co-founded Spirit Juice Studios with Bernie Czerwinski in order to help push Catholic media projects to higher levels of quality.

Bonnie graduated from The University of Michigan in 2010 with her BFA in Theatre Performance and has been working with Outside da Box ever since. She is an accomplished voice over actor and teaches improv and sketch comedy classes at Steel Beam Theatre.

Danny joined Spirit Juice Studios in 2007 as Director of Photography, and has since served multiple roles on most film projects.

Kristie has an incredible eye and passion for all things related to art & design and stellar hair & makeup talents. Working on Zombies vs Jesus has allowed her tap into the pinnacle of all these talents. She is a film & print veteran she has been hard at work honing her craft since 1993. If you can't find her on set you can certainly hear her because her laughter is contagious.

Sean Beeson

Sean Beeson

Award-winning media composer, Sean Beeson's music can be heard on film & television, and across all game platforms, with soundtracks recorded by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, among others.Sean has been an accompanist for over 10 years and is currently a music director at Sacred Heart Bethlehem Catholic Church in rural Crawford County. He has two energetic children with Laura, his wife of five years. Having recently completed their training, Sean and Laura are now a CCL NFP teaching couple.
